To pass our cultural heritage on to future generations, it is essential to preserve and protect our rich cultural legacy. In this context, Khan Altai Resource honors and values national traditions and heritage by initiating historical preservation projects, cultural exhibitions, and heritage promotion programs. The company works closely with local artists and historians to protect, document, and safeguard cultural values, traditions, and historical artifacts.
In addition, to manage and protect both tangible and intangible cultural heritage, Khan Altai Resource has fenced and placed under protection 12 khirigsuurs (ancient burial mounds) and 3 rock art sites that could potentially be affected during project operations. Furthermore, in cooperation with the Govi-Altai Province Department of Culture and Arts, the company has initiated efforts to protect 42 tangible cultural heritage sites located within nationally and locally protected areas. As part of this initiative, the first three heritage sites have been fenced and protected in accordance with established standards to prevent potential adverse impacts.
